The EW7i is the basic weigh head for use with EID tags. It is not a EID reader but receives the EID from the EID reader, either stick (XRS) or static panel (ASR550). When it receives the EID tag the weight is saved against the EID tag. The EW7 also can display the weight gain if the animal was previously weighed. Multiple weighing sessions can be created but unlike the XR5000 you can not name them, they simply get a number.
