Scot EID - Scottish Official Animal Registrations System

This only applies to Scottish farmers.

Scot EID provides the central government recording for cattle Birth, movements and deaths, in Scotland. As part of the system , Scot EID provides a direct computer web based system that allows a computer software program to notify birth and movements automatically. Most farm management packages now use this system.

FarmIT 3000 and Scot EID

FarmIT 3000 provide a built in link to the Scot EID tracing system. All you need to use this, is an internet connection and an appropriate Scot EID username and password.

Cattle On Holding Download

The direct connection allows you to first of all download your current animals saving considerable time in the setting up of your records. You can then do all your notifications of births and movements with the Scot EID system.

Not using Scot EID or Prompt for confirmation

Of course you may not want to tell them everything and FarmIT 3000 allows you to switch this off or prompt you before adding the animals to the notification list.

Keeping Track!

We also track all Scot EID notifications and record all receipt numbers and confirmation information we receive back from the Scot EID system.

We therefore do not send any information to the government without you confirming or initiating the transfer and ensure that the information you send and responce we get from Scot EID is logged and can be traced, if we need to convice them that you did try, or that their computer actually got it wrong.
