Farm IT 3000 Compatibility
Do we run on windows 10, you bet we do!.
FarmIT 3000 is fully compatible with windows 10 and will also be compatible with
what ever comes next!. We have been developing windows based applications since Border Software was formed in 2001. FarmIT 3000 has been helping farmers
manage their farm business since 2003 and evolved alongside the Microsoft
Windows operating systems from windows 98, XP, Vista, Windows 8 and now Windows
10.
Although you may not like every feature of windows 10, and you may find the new
user interface very different from your old XP machine, Windows 10 is very much
here to stay and once you get used to it much much more fun than you may first
think.
The drive behind windows 10 was no doubt the move to the mobile world of working with developements in mobile devics and touch screens. The operating system encourages this with better support for touch screens and ofcourse small mobile devices.
FarmIT 3000 is of course designed as a traditional desktop application, with the ability to allow you to view and anaylse a hugh amount of Farm Business Data. This is not suited to a 10 inch screen, but quite the opposite, larger screens make things alot easier and luckily for us Windows 10 runs just as well as a desktop PC, in fact its probably better than ever.
3rd Party Driver Compatibility
Unfortunately not all hardware manufacturers maintain their products for ever. Some manufacturers no longer even exist!. Sofwtare drivers for devices are of course the last things to get updated and you may find that some of your USB device, no longer function. So if you experience any devices that do not work for example USB to Serial converters, give us a call and we may be able to help.
