Managing Multiple Farms and Holding Numbers

Introduction

FarmIT 3000 provides the ability to manage multiple holding numbers/farms within one farm business and one farm management program. For meny farm businesses, multiple holding numbers are  a requirement, with sheep grazing rented keep or cattle housed in isolation units or TB finishing units.

Although these holding may be managed completely separately we often find that it is much easier to share VET and MED, customer and suppliers. Managing holding separately therefore requires duplicating data entry. Multi holding within a single FarmIT 3000 business share VET and MED. Animals each have a record of their current holding, movements vai CTS maybe recorded with in the system for each holding comletely separately.

Of course there are times when having separate database for the farms is more sensible even if it make recording more compicated, for example if your farms are separate or any shut down in oen would effect the other.
