The FarmIT weighing crates all use a standard aluminium lug. This is very similar to those used on a number of sheep handling systems and are designed to allow a certain amount of flexibility when connecting hurdles. The oval hole design allowing more give when laying out the equipment on uneven ground.

Given the rather ruff handling that hurdles and weigh crates get during daily usage, lug tend to take the strange and often get broken or over time simply wear. We therefore decided to make lugs available as a spare part for you to carry out your own repairs.

Aluminium hurdles are very useful and handy to have around. A very quick way to put together a improvised pen, So not just for use in the field. We use ours to extend our fixed handling and to create pens in our lambing shed. The requirement to fix the hurdle to the wall soon arose and this led to the wall plate. A Lug welded to a flat plate that we could bolt or screw to the wall. These are now all around our shed and have made they way to our outdoor fixed handing an even the odd post in a field.
