Popping ACT With the Direct Dialer Plugin
The Direct Dialer Plugins for ACT! allows you to add screen popping to the popular CRM package in seconds, thus providing the link with your telephone system and allowing you to automatically open the customer contact record as you pick up the phone.
To pop ACT!
To intergrate Direct Dialer with Act! 7 or higher you will first need to set-up the Direct Dialer EXE.
Once you have set-up Direct Dialer you can close the EXE. You then need to copy the three plugin DLLs into the ACT! plugins folder, this is usualy found at "C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Windows\Plugins".
The Dll's are as follows
- DirectDialerActPlugin.dll
- AxInterop.DIRECTDIALERLib.dll
- Interop.DIRECTDIALERLib.dll
Once this is done start act and go to the “Tools” menu, then select “Direct Dialer”.
This opens the Direct Dialer window, It provides a diagnostic window on what its doing and a Test fascility allowing you to enter a number and test the popping. You may then minimise the window and wait for the phone to ring.
