The all new FarmIT3000 Sheep Weigh Crate, brings together our experiance of fitting EID readers to other sheep weigh crates. Specifically designed to operate with a Electronic Tag Reader (EID), the weigh crate is tuned to allow the use of the smaller Agrident EID readers, the ASR400, to reduce cost.!

The sheep weigh crate is manufactured from aluminium to not only reduce the weight, but also to reduce interference with the EID equipment. It features sliding doors, operated from handles next to the weigh head, and has a removeable equipment rack to allow the removal of the electronics.

The displayed configuration - (left) features a Tru-Test XR3000 weigh head and tru-test MP600 loadbars, though other configurations are avaliable.

 FarmIT 3000 EID Weigh Crate

The door slides open on heavy duty stainless steel roller bearings. The doors slide out of the back of the weigh crate controlled by handles. It also has a robust isolation frame to ensure accurate weighing on uneven ground.

The EID antennas are built into the sides of the weigh crate, thus protected them from damage by horns etc and keeping cables out of the way.

The floor is aluminum chequer plate for strength and easy cleaning.

All cabling is also kept out of harms way to elminate sheep nibble and accidental damage.

Normally we run the EID reader of a 12Volt, fencing or leisure battery. A 30 A/H battery giving 35 - 40 hours of operation, more than enough for a days weighing.

The weigh crate is soon to get an optional set of wheels for easy movement around the farm and we also hope to add a three way manual drafting gate to the output gate , controlled by the operator stould infront of the crate.
